Costume Party
The ECCC Costume Party is open to all attendees and will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 8:00pm in Room 4A.

This year's five main categories: Comic (Marvel, DC and General), Video Game, Original Sci-Fi/Fantasy (your own creation), Media Sci-Fi/Fantasy (based on an existing work) and Spotlight Category: Undead.
For participants, there will be a backstage area for you to get into and out of your costume as well as a stage for you to walk across and show off your costume. There will be exclusive ECCC medallion awards given out by our panel of judges. We would like to encourage you all, both experienced costumers and beginning costumers, to enter!

THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION FOR THE ECCC COSTUME PARTY.
Official Costume Party Rules
- No rented costumes. Commercial or purchased costumes must show significant modification from the original form. Credit must be given for all makeup and costume construction.
- No live microphones will be provided for the contestants, and no pyrotechnics, fog machines, or other such devices are allowed.
- No live firearms, no live explosions, or fire. Handle realistic-looking firearms with care. Any weapon play must be pre-approved.
- No messy substances permitted-wet, dry or oily- that might ruin another's costume or make the stage dangerous.
- No jumping off of or throwing things off the stage. If you would like to toss something at the judges or into the audience, you must pre-approve it.
- This Costume Partyis rated PG. Lack of costume is not a costume.
- There is a maximum of one minute time limit on all presentations. Large groups may request more time. Remember, less is more.
- All contestants must agree to the Liability Release.
LIABILITY RELEASE:
I/We have read and understood the rules of this costume contest as set forth in the instructions and agree to abide by them. Further, I/We agree to allow Emerald City Comicon Corp, its agents, licensees or assignees, the right to use my/our image and/or likeness by media no known or hereafter devised for advertising and/or other promotional purposes. Additionally, I/We do agree to hold Emerald City Comicon Corp., its organizers, and the facility both collectively and individually blameless for any accident and/or injury suffered by me/us during the course of this Costume Party. Furthermore, I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Emerald City Comicon Corp. from any and all damages, losses, claims, liabilities, charges, suits, penalties, costs and/or expenses, including but not limited to court costs, attorneys' fees and expenses, resulting from any act (whether intentional or not), omission or negligence of any injury to myself.
