1. Download the app
Coming to ECCC? There’s an app for that! Downloading the Official Emerald City Comicon app will help you navigate your way around the show and keep you up to date with Show information. Use the app to import your My Show favorites, create your day to day schedule by adding Autographing, Photo Ops and Panels, visit your favorite exhibitors and find your way around using the maps. 2. See our panels
ECCC Panels are a huge weekend highlight. A Panel is a place to gather, sit and listen to Featured Guests, industry professionals and even up-and-comers as they share their knowledge, insight and experiences with you – the Fans! Some Panels teach you life skills – like how to get your comic book published or survive the zombie apocalypse. Others feature the cast and crew of a hit TV show or movie where they share behind-the-scenes sneak peeks. Panels are also a great way to sit and relax after walking the Show Floor all day without missing out on the fun. Stop by and join in!
3. Shop Comics, Show Exclusives and Merch
As you walk ECCC’s Show Floor, you’ll see plenty of our amazing and unique Exhibitors. At their Booths, you’ll have the opportunity to add more comics to your collection or pick up a shirt featuring your favorite fandom. Discover something new or grab a gift for a friend - our Show Floor has it all! Don’t forget to stop by the Official ECCC Show Store Powered by ReedPOP Supply Co at the entrance of the Show Floor in the Atrium Lobby for all Official ECCC Merch. Say hi to MerchBot 3000 for us!
4. Meet Comic, Entertainment and Literary Guests
Pose for a picture with Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa), then hop over to Autographing and ask Millie Bobby Brown how many waffles she’ll eat in Season 2 of Stranger Things. You can even chat up Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld about Deadpool in Artist Alley. Meet the people who create comics, books, TV shows, movies and more. Contrary to popular belief, Writers Block is a great workshop space to learn about writing from the authors themselves! Check out who’s coming and where you can see them in our Program Guide, the Official ECCC App or plan your schedule before you get to ECCC via MY SHOW.
5. Commission an Artist
There are plenty of goodies to take home and cherish after ECCC is over, but nothing is more unique than an original illustration from one of our Artists in Artist Alley. Why not get a Guardians of the Gilmore Girls mash up starring Sean Gunn? What if Jake the Dog turned into a hot air balloon carrying Jake and you? The possibilities are endless!
6. Make new friends at ECCC Meetups
ECCC Meetups are great opportunities to meet friends (new and old), play games and geek out over all the things that bring us together. That may include a debate of who does the best Joker voice (we think Troy Baker might have an opinion on that) or what The Last Jedi is really going to be about. It’s a place where you can charge your phone or sit and take a breather, too.
7. Visit the Cospitality Lounge
Mend your mech-suits, sew up your sleeves and take a minute to breathe without your corset bound in the Cospitality lounge. This is a great place to meet other cosplayers, share tips and tricks, repair your costumes and snap a few photos. We’re thankful for the Cosplay Repair Station sponsored by Living Computers, for all the unexpected cases of wear and tear during the Show. Can’t bear to keep wearing your fur-suit? We have changing rooms so you can slip back into street clothes in no time. There are also meetups, classes and more, so be sure to check out all there is to offer here throughout the weekend.
8. Visit Family HQ
Looking for some family friendly activities for your budding Jedi? Then Family HQ is the place to be. We’re packing the lower level and first floor of the TCC (across the street from the main convention building) full of hands-on workshops, arts & crafts and more. Laugh, learn and create all weekend long! Join our kids cosplay showcase at 5:00 PM all Show Days (4:00 PM on Sunday) so your mini Batman show off their sweet cape.
9. ECCC Western Championships of Cosplay
The ECCC Western Championships of Cosplay is the largest and most prestigious Cosplay Competition on the West Coast. This is the first stop of the year in ReedPOP’s 2017 Global Cosplay Competition Circuit
